Book Release – Invitation “Akkaraipachai” (H1-B Life in USA)

Dear Friends,

I am Dr. Singara Vadivel, Ph.D. second batch (1985-89 - EEE) from Mepco. Living in US for 16 year after brief three year from Singapore, Indonesia and Canada. Last year January I have published my first social novel “Thooram” about village life and Joint family issue. “Thooram” is nominated for Shaitiya Academy.

I present my rich experiences in my second Book “AKKARAI PACHCHAI” (The grass is always greener on the other side) in Tamil.

This Novel is about the H1-B software engineer’s life in the Land of Opportunity (USA). Every walks of life feels the pain of global economic slowdown. Software professionals and future engineers are worried about their future. What could be a better time than now to access the much wanted information?

Feel the real challenges and rewards in the life of most of the H1-B settlers in US - their struggles, their day to day life in America.

There are lots of misrepresentations, misconception, misunderstanding and biased / confused opinions about the opportunities in the land of opportunity. I have attempted to express and expose the reality of life in US for software engineers. I have revealed the forgotten or forbidden stories of H1-B immigrants.

Yes… , America is a land of opportunity, But it will not be given ; it has to be earned. Coming to US is not the beginning of an end; it is the end of a beginning.

I am sure that this book will be very useful for IT professionals, students (for higher studies) and parents (seeking American bride or grooms) to know more about the real life in US. This book provides an insight with lots of useful information for the people who are longing for (eyeing) America as their dream land.

“Akkarai pachchai” is not for encouraging or discouraging IT professionals to come to America, but describing the lifestyle of H1-B immigrants.

You can avoid or minimize disappointments and failures in your life journey in America with right preparations and expectations. I strongly believe that, no book has been written in depth to talk about the life in America. Everyone would actually live a life in U.S for a short while, reading this Novel.
